Ex-Peverel politburo set up Freemont Property Management

September 8, 2014 //  by Sebastian O'Kelly

The Acqua site on the Poole waterfront is now managed by Freemont Property Management, headed by former senior Peverel executives
The Aqua site on the Poole waterfront is now managed by Freemont Property Management, headed by former senior Peverel executives

Former leading executives of Peverel have set up a new company, Freemont Property Management.

Headed by former Peverel CEO Nigel Bannister and former head of Peverel Retirement Keith Edgar, the company is registered to an office in Lymington in Hampshire.

It has already secured the management of the large Aqua site on the waterfront in Poole, Dorset.

Nigel Bannister and Keith Edgar are joined by Peverel executives Philip Cummings and Kevin Barr, the former Peverel head of estate accounts.

Last week residents were astonished to read on the Peverel Retirement website an article by Kevin Barr dated in June this year.

They assumed that Kevin Barr had returned to his former employers and contacted LKP.

But Mr Barr had not returned: the post giving his name and job title was “an IT glitch”.

“Kevin left his role as group head of estate accounts at Peverel to pursue other opportunities,” Peverel explains.

Nigel Bannister is noteworthy for his ill-timed newspaper interview in November 2009, after LKP activists had aroused the interest of the authorities in the Cirrus collusive tendering operations.

Nigel Bannister was quoted in the Times saying: “People are reading a conspiracy into a problem that isn’t there. We use Cirrus because it is an excellent service.”

A fortnight later Peverel was admitting just such a conspiracy to the OFT.

Winning the management of the Aqua site in Poole, formally managed by Remus, is quite a coup for Freemont Property Management. It was appointed by freeholder RMB Trading Ltd.

Freemont Property Managers has taken over the Aqua site from Remus.

“The proposed company [Freemont] is a new player in the game, but we are assured that the people involved are very experienced in the business,” says the residents’ association website, www.aquaresidents.co.uk.

It can be contacted at: admin@aquaresidents.co.uk

For some reason their CV’s never mention the word “Peverel”

NB was a “Chief Executive Officer of the UK’s largest property management group”

KB was with ” a national property management company where he fulfilled a senior role in both the retirement and open market sectors of the business.”

PC ” has held several senior positions and directorships across various groups in the industry”

KE “He has held senior roles in one of the largest residential property management groups in the UK”

And just when you thought things were clear Peverel has just rebranded. A press release from Peverel tells us it is now called FirstPort.
